The Museum and Exhibition Branch of the Department of Culture manages the Principality's state owned and state operated museums and provides assistance to its independent museums. Both history and art museums are under the purview of the branch.

The Office of the Undersecretary of Museums and Exhibitions is the organ through which the branch is run day-to-day.

Sections

Interstate Exhibition Coordination Section

The Interstate Exhibition Coordination Section works with foreign museums for the sharing of artifacts, collections, and exhibitions.

Museum Outreach Section

The Museum Outreach Section works to increase the popular awareness and appreciation of museums, and make independent museums aware of various programs and projects that the branch may embark on of which they may partake.

Museum Security Section

The Museum Security Section investigates crimes against museums such as thefts and vandalism, and devises means to mitigate and prevent such actions.
