The Department of Community Cohesion serves to mitigate and diffuse inter-communal conflicts within the Principality. There is no reason to believe that such conflicts would be prevalent within the Pillow Fortress. However, as the Principality's population and territory grows, it is possible that pre-existing conflicts may be inadvertently imported, and thereby lead to subsequent strife. Thus the Department of Community Cohesion serves as a sensible precaution which may be activated should the need arise. The Council of State recommends its secretary.
The Department of Community Cohesion adheres to the Typical Organization Framework in addition to the following components:
Branches
General Branches
Civil Rights Education Branch
The Civil Rights Education Branch produces educational material focusing on the civil rights and lived experiences of the Principality's citizens and subjects.
Inter-Communal Outreach and Cooperation Branch
The Inter-Communal Outreach and Cooperation Branch facilitates productive and healthy cooperation between different communities.
Offices
Office of the Community Advocate
The Office of the Community Advocate serves as an independent voice within the Department of Community Cohesion which advocates on behalf of communities which may believe themselves to be otherwise marginalized by the department.
Office of the Secretary of Community Cohesion
The Office of the Secretary of Community Cohesion consists of the Secretary of Community Cohesion and their support staff. It is the main organ through which the department is managed on the day-to-day level.
Office of the Undersecretary of Administration, Department of Community Cohesion
The Office of the Undersecretary of Administration, Department of Community Cohesion is responsible for all those organizational components of the department which fall under the TOF.
