The Department of Education oversees and manages education in the Principality at all levels, pre-K, K-12, graduate, post-graduate, vocational and continuing adult education. Its secretary is recommended by the Council of State.

The Department of Education adheres to the Typical Organization Framework in addition to the following components:

Branches

Adult Education Branch

The Adult Education Branch manages the Principality's adult education schools and their programs.

K-12 Branch

The K-12 Branch manages the Principality's kindergarten through grade twelve (K-12) schools and their programs.

Preschool and Daycare Branch

The Preschool and Daycare Branch manages the Principality's preschool and daycare programs.

University Branch

The University Branch manages the Principality's institutions of higher learning such as public universities, academies, and others.

Vocational School Branch

The Vocational School Branch manages the Principality's vocational schools and their programs.

Independent Agencies

Advancing Education Center

The Advancing Education Center studies, experiments, and recommends new methods of learning so as to better teach the citizens of the Pillow Fortress.

Pillow Fortress Scouts

The Pillow Fortress Scouts is the Principality's official scouting organization. It's form, function, and purpose are similar to other such scouting organizations found in foreign states.

Offices

Office of the Secretary of Education

The Office of the Secretary of Education consists of the Secretary of Education and their support staff. It is the main organ through which the department is managed on the day-to-day level.

Office of the Undersecretary of Administration, Department of Education

The Office of the Undersecretary of Administration, Department of Education is responsible for all those organizational components of the department which fall under the TOF.

Office of the Undersecretary of SOSO Businesses, Department of Education

The Office of the Undersecretary of SOSO Businesses, Department of Education is responsible for overseeing the various state owned state operated businesses subordinate to the department.

No. 1 In Education Project

The No. 1 In Education Project seeks to ensure the Principality is first in the world in terms of educational attainment across all sectors, K-12, university, adult, etc. through various methods, including carrying out fact finding missions in other, foreign states to learn from them and apply said lessons domestically.

The University of the Pillow Fortress is the Principality's main public institution of higher learning.

The State Testing Service provides standardized tests, both their content and printing, as needed.

SOSO Businesses

Education Tools Inc

Education Tools Inc designs and manufactures various non-textbook items used in classrooms, particularly for K-12 schools.

State Textbook Company

The State Textbook Company produces, prints, and distributes textbooks across all subjects and at all levels for the state's many educational institutions.
