I. The Temple of Eusocianity, seeking to hasten the arrival of its Goddess and thereby secure Her blessings for all the faithful, hereby formally requests to enter into perpetual friendship and partnership with the Principality of the Pillow Fortress as a client non-state entity.
II. The Temple of Eusocianity accepts unconditionally any secular oversight, including appointments of non-faithful to the Temple in non-clergy administrative roles, as may be deemed necessary by the Pillow Fortress in order to maintain the client non-state entity relationship.
III. The Principality of the Pillow Fortress hereby accepts the Temple of Eusocianity’s request to become a client non-state entity, subject to the following clarifying articles:
- i. Acceptance of the Temple of Eusocianity as a client non-state entity in no way establishes eusocianity as an official religion of the Principality or her client states, nor does acceptance establish the Temple itself as an official church of the Principality or her client states, nor does acceptance mean official agreement with any eusocian theological claims.
- ii. The Temple of Eusocianity is not to receive any assistance from the Pillow Fortress with regards to the proselytizing of its beliefs, or the teaching of its beliefs in schools, state or private, or the saying of prayers, singing of hymns, or sermonizing at government functions, or the adoption of eusocian or Temple holidays as state holidays, nor shall symbols of the Temple be included with or incorporated into new and existing symbols of the Principality, not withstanding those symbols shared by both the Principality and the Temple and adopted by either before the signing of this treaty.
- iii. The Temple of Eusocianity, its officers, and its members, when residing within the territory of the Principality, shall obey the laws of the Pillow Fortress regardless of if those laws violate one or more religious beliefs, practices, or principles of either the Temple or eusocianity.
IV. The Temple of Eusocianity shall receive the following benefits of clienthood:
- i. It shall be included in any and all government ceremonies, rituals, processes, or functions where client non-state entities as a class or as a group are involved.
- ii. Its clergy and lay officers and employees shall have unrestricted entry into the Principality, though not necessarily the Principality’s client states, and shall have freedom of movement and residence therein.
- iii. The Principality shall defend, to the best of its abilities, the Temple’s existence, and its rights in international law, and the rights of its clergy, lay officers, and faithful.
V. Henceforth the reigning Princess shall have among her other titles that of “Defender of the Faithful”.
IV. This treaty shall take effect immediately upon signing by representatives of the Principality and the Temple of Eusocianity.
