The Department of the Interior oversees and manages the Principality's natural environment, combats pollution, and protects wildlife. Its secretary is recommended by the Council of Territory. Note: proper style is to never capitalize "the" in "the Interior", even if occurring at the beginning of a sentence.

Branches
Meteorological Branch
The Meteorological Branch studies weather in the Pillow Fortress, makes forecasts, and distributes weather bulletins and updates to the media and to Pillowans.
Territorial Survey Branch
The Territorial Survey Branch conducts geological surveys of Fortressian territory.
Wildlife Survey Branch
The Wildlife Survey Branch conducts surveys of wild animal populations within the Principality.
Land Use and Allocation Branch
The Land Use and Allocation Branch distributes and manages the Principality's land.
Committees
Endangered Species Committee
The Endangered Species Committee determines which, if any, species living within the Pillow Fortress require special protections to ensure their survival.
Independent Agencies
Animal Protection Agency
The Animal Protection Agency protects the animal wildlife of the Principality, as well as investigates and prosecutes instances of animal abuse.
Emergency Management Organization
The Emergency Management Organization provides rapid responses to disasters, both natural and manmade, in order to mitigate their negative consequences.
Environmental Protection Agency
The Environmental Protection Agency ensures the stability and sustainability of the Pillow Fortress environment by tracking, preventing, and cleaning contaminations of the air, land and water.
Natural History Museum of the Pillow Fortress
The Natural History Museum of the Pillow Fortress educates the public on issues regarding the environment, wildlife, and other topics of natural history.
Pillow Fortress Parks Agency
The Pillow Fortress Parks Agency manages the Principality's public parks and nature reserves.

Office of the Secretary of the Interior
The Office of the Secretary of the Interior consists of the Secretary of the Interior and their support staff. It is the main organ through which the department is managed on the day-to-day level.

The Office of the Undersecretary of Administration, Department of the Interior is responsible for all those organizational components of the department which fall under the TOF.
