Project Marx

In order that the government of the Principality of the Pillow Fortress should have a professional, unified visual language, I am hereby directing the Department of Culture and the Department of Intra-Governmental Affairs to create an official style guide for use by the Throne, Directory, and Xeer. Such work shall be organized under the name Project Marx, and be subject to the following restrictions:

1. No enduring symbols may be changed or denigrated. These include but are not necessarily limited to the state, provincial, and colonial flags, and the state seal.

2. The chosen visual language must be flexible enough to be used in as many use cases as possible.

3. The chosen visual language's style guide must make it clear when and when it is appropriate for use and where and when it may be disregarded.

4. The chosen visual language must not copy any visual language used by the governments of any so-called "macronation".

5. The chosen visual language must be restricted only to the government and not in anyway impinge on the freedom of expression of individual Pillowans.

Project Marx is to conclude no later than the end of year 8, and present its visual language for approval by the Directory.

Additionally, while Project Marx does not extend to our various client states and client non-state entities, they are highly encouraged to take this time and create unified visual languages of their own.
