Emigration Branch

The Emigration Branch of the Department of Immigration & Emigration manages the flow of Pillowans leaving the Principality to live elsewhere, specifically on a long term or permanent basis. Emigration from the Pillow Fortress is considered a policy failure, and so the branch is mostly devoted to understanding the reasons for emigration and enticing citizens to stay.

The Office of the Undersecretary of Emigration is the main organ through which the branch is run day-to-day.

Emigrant Registry

The Emigrant Registry is the official list of all Pillowans who have left the Pillow Fortress.

Sections

Emigration Disincentive Section

The Emigration Disincentive Section devises methods by which to discourage emigration from the Principality.

Emigration Interview Section

The Emigration Interview Section seeks to understand the reasons behind emigration. While the section does conduct exit interviews, should individuals be willing, its studies into emigration go beyond that, serving as a general research section for topics of interest to the branch.
