Mutual International Non-Recognition is the Principality's policy of not recognizing any country as a legitimate state which does not itself recognize the Pillow Fortress as a legitimate state. This policy applies to all states regardless of their history or politics, macronations and micronations alike. It extends by corollary, then, to any agreements, customs, and norms which may be established by said illegitimate states, because how could illegitimate, unrecognized states produce anything other than the illegitimate and unrecognized? Simply put, this means the Principality rejects outright the entire framework of so-called international law and custom as it currently stands. From time to time you might read of some policy or feature of the Pillow Fortress which allegedly violates one or more so-called international norm or custom. The territorial claims on antarctica and Mars for example. The government of the Principality is aware of such alleged violations, and does not care. Unless and until the Pillow Fortress receives recognition from the relevant participants under whom said customs and norms are established, it will continue to act in accordance with its own judgement as to what is in the best interest of its citizens and subjects.
