Department of Agriculture
The Department of Agriculture oversees and manages the Principality's supply of food. The Council of State recommends its secretary.
The Department of Agriculture adheres to the Typical Organization Framework in addition to the following components:
Branches
Branches of the Department of Agriculture are divided into two categories:
Domestic Agriculture Branches
Livestock Branch
The Livestock Branch is responsible for the livestock component of the Principality's food supply, such as cattle, pigs, poultry, etc. It sets the standards of safe slaughterhouse, feedlot, and meat packing and transportation, and provides inspections of such facilities to ensure compliance.
Produce Branch
The Produce Branch is responsible for the fruit, vegetable, and fungi components of the Principality's food supply. It carries out geological surveys of potential farmlands, makes recommendations for the introduction of new crops, and studies the feasibility of novel forms of farming.
Seafood Branch
The Seafood Branch is responsible for the seafood component of the Principality's food supply, that is fish, crustaceans, mollusks, seaweeds, and other aquatic animals. It sets the standards of sustainable fishing, evaluates potential fisheries, and operates aquaculture centers.
General Branches
Food Distribution Branch
The Food Distribution Branch is responsible for managing the logistics of distributing the Principality's food supply to its citizens as needed.
Food Safety Branch
The Food Safety Branch is responsible for the safety of the Principality's food supply. It sets the standards of what constitutes safe food and carries out testing and inspections to ensure compliance.
Interstate Agriculture Branch
The Interstate Agriculture Branch is responsible for the import and export of food between the Pillow Fortress and foreign states, including the inspection of incoming meat and produce, and the sale of the Principality's own on foreign markets.

Animal Treatment Standards Committee
The Animal Treatment Standards Committee sets the standards for the acceptable treatment of all domesticated animals, not merely those within the Principality's food supply, but also pets and work animals.

The Department of Agriculture has four independent agencies subordinate to it:
Genetically Modified Organism Research Center
The Genetically Modified Organism Research Center creates and evaluates genetically modified organisms (GMO) and advocates for their introduction into the Principality's food supply.
Healthy Eating Yes
Healthy Eating Yes informs the public, especially the youth, about making healthy dietary and consumption choices. This is done through a variety of means including but not limited to lectures at schools, fliers, advertisements, posters, and television and internet programming.
Productivity Research Center
The Productivity Research Center studies the logistics of the Principality's food supply and makes recommendations as to how it can more effectively feed its population.
Strategic Agriculture Samples Reserve
The Strategic Agriculture Samples Reserve maintains an emergency stockpile of seeds and DNA samples of different plants in order to protect the Principality's ability to grow produce in the event of environmental catastrophe.

Office of the Secretary of Agriculture
The Office of the Secretary of Agriculture consists of the Secretary of Agriculture and their support staff. It is the main organ through which the department is managed on the day-to-day level.
Office of the Undersecretary of Administration, Department of Agriculture
The Office of the Undersecretary of Administration, Department of Agriculture is responsible for all those organizational components of the department which fall under the TOF.
Office of the Undersecretary of Domestic Agriculture
The Office of the Undersecretary of Domestic Agriculture is responsible for the high quality of all food produced in the Pillow Fortress.
Office of the Undersecretary of SOSO Businesses, Department of Agriculture
The Office of the Undersecretary of SOSO Businesses, Department of Agriculture is responsible for overseeing the various state owned state operated businesses subordinate to the department.

The Department of Agriculture has two subordinate schools:
Pillow Fortress Agriculture School
The Pillow Fortress Agriculture School is a vocational academy which teaches the principles of agriculture, specifically those necessary to successfully run large, modern farms.
Pillow Fortress Agriculture School of Small Scale and Community Farming
The Pillow Fortress Agriculture School of Small Scale and Community Farming is a vocational academy which offers weekend courses in small scale farming for the purpose of teaching individuals how to cultivate and manage community gardens.
SOSO Businesses
The following state owned state operated businesses are subordinate to the Department of Agriculture:
Fortressian Bread Company
The Fortressian Bread Company manufactures a variety of different breads and distributes them throughout the Principality.
Fortressian Dairy Association
The Fortressian Dairy Association consists of state owned and private dairy producers working together to provide dairy products to the Principality.
Fortressian Central Farms Association
The Fortressian Central Farms Association consists of state owned and private farms working together to provide produce to the Principality.
Fortressian Honey and Silk Association
The Fortressian Honey and Silk Association consists of state owned and private insect farms working together to provide various insect and insect adjacent products to the Principality, such as honey and silk.
Fortressian Meat, Poultry, and Seafood Association
The Fortressian Meat, Poultry and Seafood Association consists of state owned and private producers of meat, poultry, and seafood working together to distribute their products throughout the Principality.
Local 420
Local 420 manufactures cannabis and cannabis-related products including edibles, joints, tinctures, etc. and bongs, rolling papers, pipes, etc.
