The Genetically Modified Organism Research Center is an independent agency of the Department of Agriculture which studies and develops genetically modified organisms for the benefit of the Principality and its citizens. Despite what may be implied by its name, the creation of such organisms is not limited to direct genetic manipulation, but may also be the result of long-term selective breeding or atomic gardening.
