The Internal Revenue Branch of the Department of Economics is responsible for collecting the Principality's money from taxes and other means.

Committees

Tax Policy Committee

The Tax Policy Committee makes recommendations as to what taxes the Pillow Fortress should implement and how. Such recommendations are presented to the Council of Labor, which is not obligated to follow them.

Office of the Undersecretary of Internal Revenue

The Office of the Undersecretary of Internal Revenue is the main organ through which the branch is run day-to-day.

Sections

General Sections

Tax Claims, Disputes, and Investigations Section

The Tax Claims, Disputes, and Investigations Section is the investigatory arm of the branch, empowered with certain law enforcement capabilities to determine the validity of claims and to settle disputes of a sub-criminal nature.

Tax Exempt Organizations Section

The Tax Exempt Organizations Section grants tax exempt status to various private organizations which meet certain criteria as set by the section.

Revenue sections

SOSO Industry Revenue Section

The SOSO Industry Revenue Section collects revenue from the Principality's state owned state operated businesses.

Special Revenue Section

The Special Revenue Section collects revenue via means which fall outside the domains of the other sections, that is, are not from tariffs, taxes, or SOSO businesses.

Strategic Revenue Reserve Section

The Strategic Revenue Reserve Section manages the Pillow Fortress's savings.

Tariff Revenue Section

The Tariff Revenue Section collects revenue from tariffs on imported goods.

Tax Revenue Section

The Tax Revenue Section collects revenue from taxes.
