Department of Community Peacekeeping

The Department of Community Peacekeeping was a department of the Throne which managed the Pillow Fortress's Peacekeepers. The reason for its independence was to prevent the consolidation of power under any one member of the Cabinet, but it was quickly determined that if the Peacekeepers did not receive additional oversight they might seek greater and greater autonomy until becoming something like a gendarmerie or secret police, neither of which were considered necessary or desirable, so the department was abolished and its organs and responsibilities transferred to the Community Peacekeeping Branch of the Department of Justice.
