The Military Journalism and Reporting Agency (MJRA) is an independent agency under the authority of the Department of Defense which provides news and information about the Pillow Fortress Armed Forces to both civilian and enlisted personnel through news reporting. It is a joint civilian/military organization with civilian leadership, and adheres to the Typical Organization Framework.

Information and distribution branches

Independent Reporting Partners Branch

The Independent Reporting Partners Branch coordinates with independent news services who wish to engage with the PFAF.

Military News and Publications Branch

The Military News and Publications Branch serves as the official news publisher of the PFAF, producing content for both military and civilian audiences.

Sensitive Information Redaction Branch

The Sensitive Information Redaction Branch sanitizes reporting on the PFAF and its operations so as to prevent the leaking of classified information.

Personnel branches

Journalist Placement Branch

The Journalist Placement Branch embeds journalists, both independent and those personnel of the MJRA, with units of the PFAF.

Journalist Recruitment Branch

The Journalist Recruitment Branch recruits and vets individuals to act as the in-house journalists of the MJRA from among eligible personnel of the PFAF.

Journalist Training Branch

The Journalist Training Branch trains those journalists that are to be embedded within units of the PFAF in basic military skills which may be necessary for their survival depending on where they are to be embedded.

The Military Recording and Reporting Standards Committee determines the standards and practices all journalists of and working with the MJRA must adhere to to maintain access.

The Military Audiovisual Reporting Archive Service maintains all film and other recordings made by the MJRA and associated independent journalists.

Military Publications Archive Service

The Military Publications Archive Service maintains copies of all publications made by the MJRA.
