The Psychological Warfare Command (6PSYCOM) of the Order of the Selecty trains, manages, staffs, and raises units specializing in psychological warfare.
Psychological Warfare
The Fortressian definition of psychological warfare is "combat operations intended to influence the morale of a target population". This can mean either raising the morale of PFAF personnel, Pillowans, and allied civilians, or lowering the morale of enemy military personnel and civilians. A historical example of this sort of psychological warfare that predates the Principality would be the Doolittle Raid in World War II. Propaganda campaigns with no kinetic component are not typically the concern of 6PSYCOM units, but are the responsibility of civilian organizations such as the Foreign Intelligence Organization, however 6PSYCOM units may be used in concert with these broader influence operations.
