The Pillow Fortress Real (PFR) (pronunciation: ree-ALL) is the currency of the Principality and one of the currencies of the Serene Gate. Its name was inspired by the Brazilian real and is a pun on the word "real", in reference to how the Principality is viewed by the rest of the world as being a "fake" state. The long term goal of the Pillow Fortress is to transcend commodity production and thus have no need for money, but during the immediate, short, and mid term futures it's recognized that such a medium of exchange is necessary for economic and general development.

The PFR takes much of its practical inspiration from the Australian dollar, and is minted/printed in the following denominations (from least value to greatest):
