The Cabinet is the leadership committee of the Throne, being the highest organ of the Fortressian government's executive branch, subordinate only to the reigning Princess and, under certain circumstances, her Chief Representative. Membership in the Cabinet consists of the reigning Princess, who acts as its premier, and the secretaries of the Throne's various departments. Cabinet meetings are typically held to discuss and set overarching policy goals and to ensure all members are on the same page with regards to topics of importance to the state. There is no set schedule for when or how often the Cabinet must meet, except when carrying out its constitutionally delegated responsibility to elect from among its members one to serve as Regent during times when there is no reigning Princess.
Order of Precedence
The Cabinet has a fairly straightforward order of precedence with the Princess as the most senior member, followed by her Chief Representative and then the various secretaries of the Throne departments in alphabetical order. Any additional members of the Cabinet will be added to the end in chronological order, even if those additional members are the result of newly created departments.
