The Throne is the executive branch of the Pillow Fortress government. Lead by the Princess, it is divided into departments which oversee and manage broad swathes of the Principality. The heads of the departments, secretaries, are recommended to the Princess by the Directory and together constitute the Cabinet.

Departments

There are twenty-one departments within the Throne.

Agriculture

The Department of Agriculture oversees and manages the Principality's supply of food.

Community Cohesion

The Department of Community Cohesion serves to mitigate and diffuse inter-communal conflicts within the Principality.

Culture

The Department of Culture oversees and manages the Principality's culture, such as maintaining the official calendar, operating museums and libraries, and distributing grants to independent artists.

Defense

The Department of Defense oversees and manages the Pillow Fortress Armed Forces.

Economics

The Department of Economics oversees and manages the Principality's economy.

Education

The Department of Education oversees and manages the education in the Principality at all levels, pre-K, K-12, graduate, post-graduate, vocational and continuing adult education.

Health

The Department of Health oversees and manages the Principality's public health policy.

Housing & Urban Development

The Department of Housing & Urban Development oversees and manages the sheltering of the Principality's citizens, as well as the construction and distribution of housing.

Immigration & Emigration

The Department of Immigration & Emigration oversees and manages the immigration of new citizens and the emigration of existing citizens.

Industry

The Department of Industry oversees and manages the Principality's state owned and state operated (SOSO) businesses, along with coordinating and providing services to independent businesses owned and operated by Pillowans.

Infrastructure & Energy

The Department of Infrastructure & Energy oversees and manages the planning, development, construction, maintenance, and security of the Principality's infrastructure, as well as generating and distributing energy.

Intra-Governmental Affairs

The Department of Intra-Governmental Affairs serves to mitigate and diffuse intra-governmental conflicts.

the Interior

The Department of the Interior oversees and manages the Principality's natural environment, combats pollution, and protects wildlife.

Justice

The Department of Justice oversees and manages the administration of the Principality's law.

Labor Coordination

The Department of Labor Coordination oversees and manages the Principality's work placement and labor programs.

Population

The Department of Population oversees and manages the Principality's pro-natalist policies.

Public Services

The Department of Public Services oversees and manages the distribution and availability of public services which the Principality's citizens are entitled to.

Science, Research, & Development

The Department of Science, Research, & Development oversees and manages Principality directed scientific inquiry and research and development.

Sport & Recreation

The Department of Sport & Recreation oversees and manages Principality sponsored sports teams, leagues, and competitions, as well as providing Pillowans with various recreational opportunities.

Territory

The Department of Territory oversees and manages the Principality's physical territory, including the settlement and development thereof, and the nature of Fortressian Administrative Divisions.

Transportation

The Department of Transportation oversees and manages the Principality's transportation networks, at the inter-provincial, intra-provincial, and local levels.
